Tunited ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Tunited mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Email address, username, display name, and profile photo you provide during registration.
User Content: Posts, comments, photos, videos, and audio messages you create within the App.
Chat Messages: Direct messages exchanged between users are stored on our servers to deliver the messaging service.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
Usage Data: Crash reports and performance data collected via Sentry for improving app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the App's features (posts, messaging, notifications).
To personalize your experience (e.g., country-specific content).
To send push notifications you have opted into.
To monitor and improve app performance and fix bugs.
To enforce our community guidelines and moderate content.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure). Sensitive data such as authentication tokens are encrypted on your device using hardware-backed keystores (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

Sentry: Crash reports and performance traces (no personal messages or content).
Expo (Push Notifications): Push tokens for delivering notifications.
Law Enforcement: When required by applicable law or valid legal process.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data via your profile in the App.
Edit your profile information at any time.
Delete your account and all associated data from the App's Settings screen, or via our web deletion page.

6. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

In the App: Settings → Delete Account.
On the Web: Visit tunitedapp.com/delete-account.

Upon deletion, all your profile data, posts, comments, messages, and media are permanently removed from our servers. This action is irreversible.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on this page.
